Service Description
The American Red Cross Neonatal Advanced Life Support Instructor course is to train instructor candidates to teach the in-person skills sessions of the Neonatal Advanced Life Support Foundations and Comprehensive courses. It is designed to provide instructor candidates with the essential knowledge about the Neonatal Advanced Life Support program and the Red Cross methods of program instruction when teaching healthcare and emergency medical services (EMS) providers who care for newborns. Instructor candidates also gain knowledge about the Red Cross methods of program instruction. Instructor candidates in the American Red Cross Neonatal Advanced Life Support Instructor course must possess a current American Red Cross Neonatal Advanced Life Support Comprehensive certification or equivalent. This blended learning course includes an online session followed by in-person sessions focused on skill proficiency validation, lecture, activities, and practice teaching assignments. Instructor candidates who successfully complete the online and in-person sessions will receive an American Red Cross Neonatal Advanced Life Support Instructor certification and a Neonatal Advanced Life Support Provider certification, both valid for two years.
Cancellation Policy
Online content will be emailed to each participant upon receipt of registration. Online content must be completed prior to the in-person session of the course. Failure to complete the online content will result in the participant being unable to attend the in-person session and no refund will be issued. Registration can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 24 hrs before the course offering. Any cancellation less than 24 hrs before the course offering or no show will incur the full course fee.
